Remission And The Kindness of God

After a long day of tests and scans, here Eli is hearing from his primary oncologist, Dr. Julie, that he is officially cancer free and in remission! While he will continue to get scans every 3 months for the next few years, and blood work done once a month or so for a awhile, today is a day for rejoicing!

Friends, words cannot grasp how grateful our family is for all of your encouragement and prayers over the past several months. I mean that. Your support has been such a huge source of strength for us. Thank you.

Above all, we are thankful for the grace and kindness of God who has been with us every step of this difficult journey. In His mercy, He has chosen to heal our son and destroy this wicked cancer in his body. For this, He alone gets all the glory! He alone gets all the praise!

No matter what comes in the future, we know that He will be with us, giving us strength and hope, day by day. Just as He so faithfully has over these months.

The same is true for you.

Our family’s prayer from the very beginning of this journey has been that those watching from the outside would see Jesus in a new way. That those walking with us from either near or far would come to know that in Christ alone is hope and salvation found. That Christ alone is our Rock our Shepherd and our Joy for this life and for all eternity.

Life is fragile.

Life is short.

Eternity is near.

Eternity is long.

But you do not need to be afraid!

Hear these true words:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” - John 3:16-17

May Jesus Christ be your life, your light and salvation no matter what comes your way.

Even if the dark enemy of cancer comes knocking.

Our God bigger.

He is stronger.

Nothing can stand against Him.

To God alone be the glory in ALL things.

“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” - Habakkuk 2:14
